Natalia's 34th Birthday is Coming!
October is HERE! That means its time to do our traditional Service for Natalia for her birthday!!!
We invite all those who knew and loved her to join us! Simply comment below to report your service! DO THIS BY CLICKING ON __COMMENTS BELOW! Or share your service on social media with the hashtag #servicefornatalia. We would love to know what you did in her honor, but understand if it is to personal. In that case, just write "1 act of service."
Natalia LOVED children, and children LOVED her! So this year we decided that our family would pack some shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. If you would like to join us, and pack a shoebox for a child, go to THIS LINK, You are welcome to take it to a donation drop off location, or drop it off to Camille, or Doris' homes. We know Natalia would LOVE to see more children smile, and especially at Christmas! Christmas was her FAVORITE!
On October 16th we will take the total number of acts of service and display it up by her grave. (Please report by October 15th!) Since Natalia would be turning 34 this year, let set a goal to get 340 acts of service!!! Thanks for helping us celebrate Natalia's life by the way she lived her life.
If you want ideas of service Natalia would have done click HERE or HERE!

A couple of causes that my family is involved in this year that I am helping to support:
ReplyDelete-My nephew Tyler's elementary school class is gathering supplies to send to children in the Philippines, specifically in the area where I served my mission and where I went to assist with typhoon recovery efforts a couple of years ago. Last night I dropped off a couple of basketballs, a Frisbee, and a couple of bags of school supplies for my nephew to take to include with their donations.
-The charter school that my Dad works for in Cedar City is partnering with my sister and her husband to raise money to purchase books for an elementary school in my Brother-in-law's home town in El Salvador. I am planning on making a donation to help support their efforts.
Happy Birthday Natalia!
3 acts of service done!
ReplyDeleteWe'll be supporting two in Neighborhood Sunday with Treats (Natalia type) and some dollars towards their service missions. And we sent our Mom off for a trip with a dozen other Moms last week, spoiling them has been done! We'll consider these done with Natalia in mind, :)

This month I have focused on befriending young mothers in our new ward and finding ways to offer them service. I would've never survived raising my children without Natalia's help. She was our go to babysitter and our children loved her! We have watched children so a couple could go to the temple together. Helped clean an untidy apartment. Sat with a young mom during church and helped with her two young children. Baked cookies for four families in the neighborhood. And lastly worked on finding 10 names in our genealogy that needed temple work done. All these things I know Natalia had a love for. Please put us down for twelve acts of service. Love you Natalia. Miss you still....
ReplyDeleteThese comments have warmed my heart!!! Thank you everyone for remembering our Natalia. I bought the traditional doll to donate to a little girl in Natalia's honor. Oh she loved dolls & babies. I have two shoeboxes ready for the donation week at Operation Child. Please also add 15 acts of service for me....one for each day so far in October :) I won't list them all. Love you Natalia!
ReplyDeleteMy coworker has a lot going on her life...she has also been super overwhelmed by all her responsibilities at work. She is amazing at her job, but wears SO many more hats than her supervisor realizes. She had been working over to reach all her deadlines, but unfortunately on Friday, couldn't complete them all. She left early to be with her daughter who was celebrating her 14 year old son's first birthday in heaven...she left stressed and knew she would be getting in trouble. I decided that my deadlines (this week) could wait, and serving her was more important, so i finished hers. She won't know until she gets to work Monday. I felt SO good helping her reach her deadlines!! I can't wait to see her face when she finds out!!!
ReplyDeleteTook a youth group to the temple.
ReplyDeleteDonating 2 shoe boxes for operation child.
Returned my cart (to the cart collection thingy) at the grocery store.
Happily made dinner for my family.
Donated coats and jackets.
ReplyDeleteFilled up my husbands car with gas.
Helped at my kids school.
Happy Birthday Natalia!
31 services for me. Most of them were just something small, but hopefully they made a little difference. My favorites were packing shoe-boxes for Operation Christmas Child, and taking a treat to my doctors office (Natalia was a MA), and collecting warm winter things for the refugees.
