Natalia's 32nd Birthday

Our Natalia's birthday is only two weeks away.  We are planning on celebrating her birthday by rendering acts of service in her honor.  We invite all those who knew and loved her to join us!  Simply comment below to report your service!  We would love to know what you did in her honor, but understand if it is to personal.  In that case, just write "1 act of service."

On her birthday (October 16th) we will take the total number of acts of service and display it up by her grave. Thanks for helping us celebrate Natalia's life by the way she lived her life.

If you want ideas of service, check out last years blog post here

  7. I Tried to do one service each day last week with Natalia in mind. To honor Natalia last week I put a pumpkin on her grave, volunteered in both of her son's classrooms, cooked, served and decorated for a lunch for senior citizens of our city (where Natalia served as youth mayor), lovingly gave a friend a ride, made cookies and gave lodging to people on their way to airport, invited ladies to sit by me at a meeting.

-although I was tired, I took my kids to the park and for a bike ride.

  16. -I took cookies to a neighbor across the street who had a scary migraine, checked up on her later in the week.

-A girl in our ward had a new baby... checked on her. Has a son that is Ty's age; we took him to the park and we are having him over to play this next week to let his mom have a little break. :)

-This one really made me think of Natalia. I remember your mom telling us that a couple days before Natalia had her stroke, they had gone to Deseret Book together trying to find activities for Mason and Logan to help them be reverent during Sacrament Meeting. Natalia was always thinking about her twins and helping them and teaching them. So....I spent quite a bit of time last week getting General Conference activities ready for Ty and Brooks, and it took more time than I was expecting and I didn't get some other things done that I had planned on doing, but it was ok. It was worth putting the time into the activities because my boys were SO excited for General Conference weekend, we were able to enjoy the weekend, and when it was over, Ty was wishing it was going to happen again the next day. :) I often think of Natalia when I am trying to do projects like this because I know it's what she would have done for her boys.

I'll be thinking about Natalia, and your family, this Thursday. Miss her soooo much.

  28. Service for Natalia! We went out with family to eat. Seated next to us was a family with young children. The youngest got sick all over himself, high hair, floor, and mom. While he was being cleaned up by mom in the restroom, older little boy had an accident. Dad was so beat down. He took off with big brother when mom came back all wet and tried to feed baby and herself. I offered to help and she just shook her head no, she was obviously upset. Dad never returned. Mack hurried and got their check anonymously. Dad came back with brother from the restroom and we booked it out of there to remain anonymous. The employees were so excited to be a part of paying it forward. That had never happened to them at the restaurant before which was surprising to us. They asked if they were on a tv show. It was pretty
cute. :) afterward, in the car, we prayed for the family. I could totally empathize and was so grateful we could help somehow. -Kristie

  31. I did acts of service...I helped a young mother with her children in Sacrament Meeting while she played the organ and her husband is in the Bishopric and she has a 2 year old and a new born. I helped a student that was having a really tough time at school and comforted them and cheered them up and gave them treats and a note! I also made a special effort to go the extra mile to make friends with someone that doesn't associate with the school faculty and doesn't seem to fit in...gave them a card, lotion and just let them know I appreciated what they did for our school!

  62. Kaylani Kristine Perry I don't know if this is a place to put my act of service down. but just recently i had a friend who had a baby, she got pregnant out of wedlock, and lost family support before she had her baby i was talking to her and she told me that her and her new husband were struggling with money and she didn't have any thing for the baby, this was at her 8th month mark so anonymously we made a baby box and put clothes, diapers, formula, bottles, burp rags, bibs and much more. and we had someone drop it off to her at work. we noticed from a distance and she cried with gratitude and told be she now wants to pass along an act of service herself. She and her husband are currently working on going to the temple and being sealed together as a family. I know that your sister would welcome them, and is encouraging them to make it to the temple.
